Wacom Tablet/Driver Fix (CTL-470/Bamboo Pen) Windows 10 - May work with other versions too! Only tested with the latest Previous Generations Bamboo CTL Compatible Driver from Wacom. Aug 25, 2017 Wacom Tablet/Driver Fix (CTL-470/Bamboo Pen) Windows 10 - May work with other versions too! Only tested with the latest Previous Generations Bamboo CTL Compatible Driver from Wacom.
Hi, apologies if this is the wrong subreddit for issues like this, not sure where else to ask. I've used a MacBook Pro for several years now and recently switched to a refurbished Acer laptop. I have a Bamboo Pen CTL-460 tablet and it always worked fine on my MacBook, but the drivers on my new Windows 10 Acer just do not work. I can move the mouse and click with the tablet, but there's no pressure sensitivity in my drawing programmes (Photoshop Cs6, FireAlpaca) and it's a little jerky in Photoshop.
If I go to the 'Wacom Preferences' app from the start bar this message appears: 'There is a problem with your tablet driver. Please reboot your system. If the problem persists reinstall or update the driver.'
I've been emailing wacom support back and forth for about a month and nothing so far. They seem to think that there's a programme on my computer that is interfering with the driver but I can't think what it could be. I've followed all their instructions to make sure there's no previous drivers interfering, I've installed the driver on a new guest account, I've tried installing on a friend's computer and I'm beginning to suspect that the driver itself just doesn't work on Windows 10, especially since the tablet model itself is kind of an old one. Has anyone else had any experience with this? What can I do? I actually have TWO of the same tablet (friend didn't want theirs any more) and it's so frustrating that I may have to get rid of them and get a new one just because the god damned driver doesn't work.
EDIT: For some reason this post is getting a lot of attention again, I've literally received about 5 messages in the past week about it. For anyone else who's found this post and had the same problem, here's some hopefully helpful updates for you before you message me :
Wacom Ctl 470 Driver For Windows 10 Dell

I did not get this working, I ended up buying a new tablet - and would recommend Huion as a good and cheap replacement for a Wacom if money is an issue
-
Another user who messaged me said they got theirs working by downloading an older driver, version 5.3.5-3 . Perhaps this will help
-
Another user said they got theirs working by uninstalling every USB driver on their PC and installing the tablet driver version 5.3.8

I managed to get the wacom Bamboo working on a macbook using the most recent driver. No idea why it worked here but not on Windows 10

I had the most success with contacting Wacom support through emails, and through twitter. They replied to emails for tech support only up to a certain point. Twitter they do reply on but again once they can't solve the problem they tended to just stop replying to me
